Le groupe c'est formé en 2005 lorsque DJ Dam a rencontré le trompetiste Loic et la chanteuse Emily T.
Depuis leur création le groupe a une résidence à la Mezzanine de l'Alcazar de Paris
(Les compils de la Mezzanine....).
Ils mélangent lors de leurs prestations, des tracks lounges, deep, house ainsi que leurs propres productions!!!

Damdistrict was formed in 2005 when DJ Dam met trumpeter Loic and singer Emily T. Since its creation, the band holds a Residency at the lounge bar and restaurant Mezzanine de l’Alcazar – Paris, France. Damdistrict, surfing the wave of bootlegs, performs live on the most recent lounge and deep house releases, creating a totally exclusive mix.

"Shakedown" new album....

La bonne surprise hier soir à Varsovie, je suis invité au Platinium pour une soirée privée Sephora et j'apprend que Shakedown sera aux platines pour présenter son nouvel album Spellbound!!!!!
Je lui souhaite un aussi gros succès que le précédent avec le fameux hit mondial At Night et d'après ce que j'ai entendu hier soir, je pense que cerains tracks vont faire bouger les dancefloors cet été.......

Here i am, my first date in Warsaw!!!! Saturday 9 dec. in Foksal19 from 21.00 to 3.00 my sound will be in the place....

Club Foksal19 à Varsovie.....

Quel endroit magnifique, un design impressionant, deux étages, un restaurant lounge et un club.
La musique était pas extra au restaurant, mais par contre au club un très bon dj polonais qui mixait une bonne house, garage pour une clientèle bien classe....
Une déco très moderne, des couleurs pastelles, un light show superbement étudié, très mouvant mais absolument pas agressif, j'ai vraiment été séduit par ce lieu à ne pas manquer pour les gens qui passent dans cette ville en mouvement permanent.
Tous les mois de nouveaux restaurants, de nouveaux clubs ouvrent leurs portes.....

Wonderful design, a perfect light show without agressive colours, i was a little bit desapointed with the music at the restaurant, for me it was a little bit boring, but the dj who was playing at the club was very good, a perfect choice of deep-house, garage, happy house....
One of the place to be in Warsaw.

Crazy city with new clubs and restaurants opening every months....

Après la Cantine... le ManRay!!!

Et oui, je ne mixe plus à la Cantine.... je mixe mercredi prochain au Man Ray......(www.manray.fr), toujours pour le son lounge et deep....

Malheureusement à la Cantine du Faubourg ils ne sont plus intéressés par la qualité, ils veulent "un pousse disque" qui joue du sont commercial.....!!!! Dommage pour le lieu et les amateurs de bonne musique....
Mais la Cantine restera pour moi une superbe expérience ainsi que de nombreux contacts que j'ai pu nouer....et aussi pour certaines superbes soirées.....














My job at la Cantine du Faubourg is finished, unfortunatelly they decide to change the atmosphere in the place, they prefer to have commercial music now, thats really pitty because the Cantine diserve to have better than commercial and boring music....
Thats life!!!!!

De retour sur Paris!!!!!

La pluie comme invitée au Cheyenne..... :-((((








Huit jours qui en sont devenus quinze sutie à la demande d'un club de me faire jouer pour une soirée sur invitation au Cheyenne.
Dommage que la pluie furieuse est décidée de faire son apparition lors de la soirée deep à l'extérieur....., malgré cela les gens étaient au rendez-vous!!! Une petite ambiance bien west coast comme j'aime le faire et tout le monde avait un grand sourire, les gens de métropole étaient heureux car pour une fois ils avaient autre chose que du zouk ou du rn'b........
Le retour dans la capitale ne fût pas facile, quand on passe de 35 degrés au soleil avec magnifique plage et à peine 10 degrés dans la grisaille de Paris, le moral en prend un bon coup mais bon on a pas le choix......... mais on va y retourner très vite, pleins de projets à venir dont des petites visites au Bliss de St Martin, si les gens tiennent leurs promesses et comme vous le savez dans le monde de la nuit!!!! (tout les chats sont gris.... mais ça c'est une autre histoire... )
Et aujourd'hui on est à Varsovie encore plus froid certes mais comme on dit il faut se bouger si on veut avancer.....




Et encore un petit mot sur la Cocoteraie, encore merci pour tout Frank, cela a été un grand plaisir ce séjour mi-vacances mi-boulot, en tout les cas j'éspère que la programmation musicale que j'ai concoctée pour l'hôtel sera appréciée....
et un petit merci à Rémy aussi pour m'avoir fait rencontrer Frank, comme quoi les hasards de la vie!!!!
et merci aussi pour la prochaine invitation.... ma moitié avait un grand sourire!!!
